The call of Cthulhu
SYNOPSIS
H. P. Lovecraft has gone down in the history of literature as one of the great innovators of the fantastic and horror story of the 19th century. He is a cult writer who with his works of authentic terror produces addition among his readers. This work is one of the most emblematic that catches until the end and led to the birth of the so-called Myths of Cthulhu.
It all starts when a man discovers his late uncle's notes and is involved in a conspiracy that involves an ancient ocean god and his violent followers.
PERSONAL OPINION
For this review I had planned one of us is lying but this gem fell into my hands yesterday, so that review will have to be postponed at the moment (it is probably available on Monday)
Nowadays it is difficult to find writers who manage to captivate you with only three words, it would be good if this type of writing was a bit more common or that the new writers implemented it (obviously everyone has their own style and it is the good thing about writing that is so diverse); The way he manages the narration and development of the characters is sublime, he does it without much effort, which causes a perfect narration.
The book is divided into two parts the first (The call of Cthulhu) is interesting but if the reading becomes tedious but the second part (Being in the threshold) leaves you in a constant and breathless shook until the last page, through the last pages you realize how the fear of the unknown is what drags a sane man into madness; It is impressive how with these few words he manages to say so much and provoke a series of emotions. What I liked most was all the unexpected turns that take place (they make reading even more fascinating).
Whether you just start to make the habit of reading or do not like to read literary classics a lot I recommend you give this jewel a chance.
